Commercial Driver's Licensing Training - CDL
This program is designed for individuals with little or no commercial driving experience. Our training course includes everything you will need to get rolling.

The complete vehicle training will prepare you for an entry-level position in the trucking industry. The training course can be completed in four weeks by attending full-time, Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 5p.m. Classes typically begin on the first Monday of each month, with the exception of December.
You may call to register at any time; however, class size is limited. Enrollments are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Training is scheduled around holidays and interruptions caused by weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Entry Requirements
A high school diploma or GED is not required, however you must:
Be able to read and write the English language
Be 18 years of age*
Be able to meet the Federal DOT physical requirements
Have a valid KY drivers license at the time of registration
- You may be accepted into the training course if you are 18 and over, but limited jobs are available if you are under the age of 21.
Costs and Fees
The SKYCTC CDL program cost is $4,200.00 and must be paid in full before the first day of class. This includes the DOT physical, drug screen, all CDL manuals, textbooks, classroom instruction, and road/skills training. Participants of the program are also responsible for paying the CDL permit and license fees (approximately $150) to the circuit court clerk when they take their permit test and final license test.
Acceptable payment methods: money order, credit card, check.
Potential funding assistance may be available through WIOA, KY Farmworkers Program, Inc., or Vocational Rehabilitation for qualified individuals.
Funding assistance is not available through SKYCTC.
